Get To Know Me: 21 Questions

Get To Know Me: 21 Questions

Just a quick post I found online so I thought I'd give it a go.
1. Are you named after anyone?
Abigail isn't after anyone, although my mum always says that it's the goose from aristocrats! My middle name Marie is after my dad's childhood friend apparently. I still say it was an ex of my dad's!
2. When was the last time you cried?
I'm quite a man when it comes to crying, it's a rare thing I do haha. Although I did cry at a sad film but I can't remember what it was called.
3. Do you have kids?
Nope.
4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
Of course! Otherwise I wouldn't act the way I do.
5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Too much!
6. Will you ever bungee-jump?
Never, although I would sky dive
7. What’s your favorite cereal?
This is my current problem, I need a new favourite! At the moment it's weetabix.
8. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Their face shapes. I love a jawline and cheek bones, on boys and girls.
9. What is your eye colour?
Blue.
10. Scary movie or happy endings?
Happy endings, I can't even watch paranormal activity.
11. Favorite smells?
Mint, fresh bed sheets & rain.
12. Summer or winter?
Can I say autumn? I like the in the middle.
13. Computer or television?
Probably neither, I get bored of both soon enough.
14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
Not very far.
15. Do you have any special talents?
Unfortunately not. :(
16. Where were you born?
The Isle of Wight, in England.

My week in pictures | 17th August 2014

My week in pictures | 17th August 2014

Feels good being back doing this! With my return I've made sure I took as many photos as possible this week.
I found this amazing matte black nail varnish by Barry M. I live a very sheltered life and have never seen this before so of course I had to get it. I am in LOVE!
First of all, my sister and I went for gorgeous cocktails at a lovely place near where I live.
I found this challenging workout which I thought I'd share, I love trying new things.

I'm not sure how and why this song is on my phone? But I thought it was funny that I must have actually paid for it somehow hahah!
Work's quiet so I was able to enjoy this baby.
New purchases! Might review if they're any good. (St Tropez is obviously my favourite!)
Am I literally obsessed with Sweet and Sour Chicken with rice! I've had it twice in the past 3 days.
Here's me blogging! (I'm actually being organised for once and scheduling posts!)

Sergei finally came! For all you who don't know, it's a toy you can get if you buy insurance. Google compare the meerkat.

That's pretty much all I did with my week really! What did you guys get up to?

Ps. My laptop screen broke today so I'm not sure what future post will be like. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon or I'll just buy a new one.

Boots Soltan Beautiful Bronze | FAKE TAN REVIEW

Boots Soltan Beautiful Bronze | FAKE TAN REVIEW

AFFORDABLE FAKE TAN

I'd just like to apologise for the bad photo, everywhere I put it the light shone off it!
Anyway, I'm all for finding a good quality cheap product and I think I've found it in fake tan! Soltan Beautiful Bronze, Self Tan Dry Mist Spray in the colour light/medium. Works perfectly for me, I had a friend that said they didn't like it at all - personal choice I suppose.

Application for this is so easy! You literally just spray it onto whatever you want to tan, just make sure you get it all otherwise you'll end up with streaks. That's the only way it streaks you'll be glad to hear! I just make sure I spray the area (eg, my legs) twice or slowly as it doesn't matter if you put more on one area than another. Once its developed you don't even notice.
It appears within 2-3 hours so don't get wet or sweat until that time is up!
Here's another shockingly bad photo of what it looked like on one leg compared to the other. It gave me such a natural tan that wasn't really orange like most fake tans. I find sprays so much better and easier to apply, especially if you're like me and hate how long mousse takes. You don't even need a mitt.

The only bad thing about it is that you have to look after it (moisturise everyday) because if you let it start coming off it goes all dirty looking. I found that moisturising regularly prevented this.

At £5.99 how can you go wrong?! Give it a try, buy it here.

The Fault in Our Stars | BOOK REVIEW

The Fault in Our Stars | BOOK REVIEW

Now I know this book is old news but I thought since everyone's been talking about it for ages, it was time to read it for myself before the film came out. I know the films already out now but I'm useless and forgot to post the review after I read it back in May! (I know - worst blogger ever.)

Anyway, just a quick review because I don't want to bore you with a book you've probably already read.

I'm going to be honest and say that I thought a lot of it was really predictable and to start with I found it to be very cringe worthy. I found myself saying 'as if' a lot of the time. Maybe its just me but I felt a bit like I was reading a 15 year old girls imagination? Not all the time may I add.
This book actually took me a few weeks to read; I found myself uninterested throughout the first two thirds of the book. Having said that! I really did enjoy the last 100 pages or so, literally, I ended up reading the end all in one night because I was hooked. Maybe it just wasn't my sort of book?

I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it yet so I won't say anything. But the end definitely makes up for the rest, so if you're in the same position as I was - FINISH IT. It's worth it.

Anyway, that's all I'm going to say about this book because I'm sure we're all getting tired of hearing about it now!
Please recommend me some books to read!

Where I've been

Where I've been

I am so sorry I have been completely rubbish recently! So much has changed and I've had such little time to blog - no excuse, I know. Ah well, these things happen and the least I can do is explain what's been happening.

First things first, I passed my driving test!
Then I was lucky enough to get a new car, but it's not been cleaned so I have no photos of it - yet!

Then I got a new job and I love it. It's so nice to work somewhere that you are actually respected. We make these amazing apple martinis, which are delicious if I do say so myself.

That's been the main reasons for not blogging, everything's just been all over the place.

I then got a new phone (upgraded to the iPhone 5s) which allows me to great beautiful photos like this:

I gave in and got Netflix, now I'm stuck watching Orange is The New Black. Goodbye social life.

I've been drinking alcohol, a lot. It's been birthdays and celebrations so that makes it ok?!

And recently, the best thing of all. I went to the Jay Miller Circus! I've never been to a circus so I was so excited, I really want to go again!!
It's a shame there's no animals in it anymore but it was still cool.

So yeah, that's been my life, I don't think I forgot anything. I promise I'm back now!

Thanks for reading :)
