Elegant Touch False Nails Review

Elegant Touch False Nails Review

Now lets just start by saying yes I know I was last to get on the bandwagon but shh. FYI I'm not a trendy person.

Without further ado, let me show you, the Elegant Touch false nails. For those who don't have long nails or go to salons and get them done. Honestly I can't stress how good they are.
So I think they are about £6 - £8, PERFECT for a night out or a glam day. I bought my first set for a party, I didn't expect them to look nice or anything. Lets just say now I wear them nearly all the time! Obviously not all the time because the glue would ruin your nails.

It's safe to say I wear them until they are no longer wearable. I wore a set for about 2 weeks in total until they were bending and looked horrible. They lasted around a week before I had to re-glue - I must add this was with a full nail of glue so they were pretty well stuck on. Obviously it completely depends on your lifestyle and how heavy handed you are. I did house chores, cleaned out my guinea pigs and everyday life. I was a little cautious when doing some things but nothing major, you can usually feel when you're putting pressure on them. That's usually when they snap off, which my little sister couldn't understand!

Get To Know Me Tag

Get To Know Me Tag

Who doesn't love a good tag! I was very kindly nominated by Hannah (hannahhawes.blogspot.co.uk) to do this tag, I definitely think you should take the time to go and check out her blog. I'm sure both me and her would appreciate it.
On with the tag!

1. Is your hair naturally straight or curly?
Thankfully my hair has a natural wave so I'm quite lucky that I don't have to do anything to it for it to look ok. Although brushing it makes it super frizzy so I avoid that.

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
Well I went to a salon and look how it turned out!!
Yep, I ended up with bright orange hair and the worse ombre ever! Definitely not £150 worth! I have since done it at home and made it look 100% better! And for a fraction of the price.

Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Instant | FAKE TAN REVIEW

Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Instant | FAKE TAN REVIEW

This product is uh-mazing!! My absolute favourite product to run to when I'm in need of a quick tan.

At a price of £9.99 how can you go wrong?! I've used Fake Bake a few times so I know it's a good product. When I saw this in Boots I thought I'd give it a try. And I'm so glad I did!

As you can see from the photo it made a huge difference considering it was just one coat! I've never put more than one coat on so I'm not sure if it'll make it go darker or ruin it. But for me this was great, it doesn't go patchy as long as you cover the whole area! I didn't moisturise or exfoliate before applying (because I'm lazy) just simply rubbed it in and it came out perfect.

It also doesn't go streaky when gotten wet (I've spilt alcohol down me when using this and it was fine). It does fade (nearly come off) when showered but it does says on the back that it washes off.

So yeah, I think it's great and until I find a better instant tan, I'll continue to love it.
Have any of you tried it? I'd love to know everyone else's opinions.

Thanks for reading! :)

What's in my make up bag?

What's in my make up bag?

My make up bag is small and not very exciting, but I thought I'd share anyway!

Here's my make up bag, I got it from Primark last year I think. It's got two compartments which is really handy.

Starting with the front compartment ( I warn you now my everyday make up is very basic).

5 concealers/highlighters, I don't actually use all these!
Starting from the left, Rimmel Wake Me Up. This is great and I know a lot of people use it too - very affordable and worth checking out.

Rimmel Stay Matte Concealer, I don't actually use this everyday but it's very good for covering up dark circles.

YSL touche éclat concealer/highlighter, I use this as a highlighter because it has a lovely glow to it.

Rimmel Match Perfection, really good coverage but I only use it if I'm really tired or if I have a spot.

Maybelline Fit me Concealer, not too sure why this is in there, I use it with the foundation - perfect combo!

I then also have a sharpener and some bronzer, not sure where this is from because the label has come off!

Now on to the back compartment.
Some make up brushes, Bobby pins and Maybelline cover stick which I think is great to put in the corners or your eyes to brighten them up a bit.

I've got 2 Maybelline Great Lash, they're really good, but that's not the reason I've got two haha! I lost one just after I bought it, so annoyingly I bought another one and the original turned up! How annoying!!

Then I've got the Seventeen Make Your Mark eyeliner pen which I did a review on, here. So some reason I've got a Company eyeliner, never used it and probably never will. I've also got a pencil eyeliner, not sure of the brand - again it's worn off.

My favourite, Rimmel lipstick in the shade as you want Victoria (360). I love it so much!!

That's it, I do sometimes use BB cream or foundation but very rarely so I don't keep them in my make up bag.
Let me know if you'd like me to do a whats in my handbag.

Affordable eyeliner | SEVENTEEN MAKE YOUR MARK

Affordable eyeliner | SEVENTEEN MAKE YOUR MARK

This post is for all those people who can't afford to pay out loads of money on make up, but still want to have the look of expensive make up.

The make up brand Seventeen is known for being really cheap, I picked this up from Boots which is a British drugstore and I'll put a link to it at the bottom. For all those out of the UK who are after trying this product, I recommend trying eBay or just search for it on Google. I paid £3.99 for this and I definitely think it is worth way more than that!

Anyway, this product is definitely one of the best eyeliner pens I've ever used. The pen tip is firm and gets thicker so that it is easy to make your eyes darker if you want it.
Apologies for the bad quality - I need to invest in a camera, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like.  Personally I think the softer brushes are harder to apply and you've got to have a steady hand in order to make it look nice. With this one, it literally takes me about 1 minute to put on and is so easy! Considering I am in no way good at applying make up!

This eyeliner is also very long lasting and I can happily apply it in the morning and when I return from work it is still as it was when I left, it also doesn't come off when it rains, which is perfect for me because that is the last thing I want!!

I highly recommend this product as an affordable eyeliner, if anyone knows where else you can buy this please let me know!

I would love to know if anyone else has tried this and what they think. If not I think you should try it!

What and why I'm blogging

What and why I'm blogging

Why I'm blogging?
I like to keep myself occupied a lot of the time so I thought this would be a great way to keep me busy. I've always read blogs and always loved Zoella (as I'm sure everyone does). I often thought about starting a blog; back in 2011 I actually wrote a post about Ed Sheeran on this very blog, unfortunately that's as far as my blogging went as it wasn't very popular then and I thought that I am in no way clever enough to be doing stuff like that. Since then blogging has become a lot more popular and its not all about being super smart.

One of the main reasons I have started blogging now is because of my amazing friend Shannon, who has an amazing music blog, click here. She was the person who said to me "You should start blogging" and I just thought it sounded great. I know I've only just started blogging but I am so thankful already because it is great fun - I really do encourage people who are a bit on the fence to blog. Its great, Thanks Shan Shan!

What I blog about?
I don't really have a particular style and don't really know how my blog will turn out but I'm just going to post things I enjoy and things to motivate myself. I will probably post about music, fitness, horses, beauty and just my life haha, probably not very interesting but at least I've got something to look back on when I'm old!

Anyway, I talk a lot of rubbish so I'll just shut up now, if this interests anyone please do follow!

Fake Tan Review | MY FIRST TIME

Fake Tan Review | MY FIRST TIME

Me being naturally as pale as Wednesday Addams made me very worried about fake tanning for the first time - mainly because so many people where I live are orange. I find it very hard to get a tan - especially in England and having to work inside on sunny days. So I had the decision of fake tanning or being pale all summer (2013).
I decided it would be safer if I applied the fake tan myself a I'd not seen many spray tans that hadn't turned people orange. This way also meant I could choose how tanned I wanted to be.

The first fake tanning product I used was the L'oréal Sublime Bronze self-tanning gel.
It's a gel that allows you to build it up everyday until you have reached the colour you want. I also made sure it covered both face and body as I don't usually wear any foundation so I wanted them to be the same colour, also I'm way too lazy to do that much everyday!

I found this product was really easy to apply, perfect for a first time and really natural looking. Its also great because it is very affordable, at about £13.50 in most pharmacies or drugstores.

Here is a photo of how dark my legs went, unfortunately I don't have a photo of what they were like before but I can assure you I'm nearly whiter than paper! Also please ignore the weird water effect on my legs, I can assure you they were all one colour.

The only thing I will say about this product is, make sure you properly exfoliate before applying - it does say this on the back but I tried to be lazy one time and it went patchy!

I would love to know if anyone has tried this and what your opinion on it is. :)

Thanks for reading! :)
