Growing up and losing friends

Growing up and losing friends

"Why should I care about others when they don't care about me?" Often something I say to myself when I get let down. So many times I find myself running after people when they've called me for help, they upset or angry about something. Every time I'm there giving hours of my time to someone who needs a shoulder to cry on. I will text my friends and ask 'how are you?' Only to be bombarded with everything going on in their life, which is great and I want to know everything that happens, but after that the conversation will end and I have very few friends who will actually ask how I am and see what's going on in my life.

Over the past year this has made me realise, I do not need this people in my life. I only want people who can support me and will benefit me, maybe this is selfish? But after all it is my life so why can't I be the centre of it?

A few months ago I decided enough was enough and it was time to let those people go. So if you are planning on binning the crap friends here are a few reassuring words.

It doesn't make you a bad person because you don't want to hang out with someone anymore.

You weren't born to live your life wasting hours on one sided friends.

There are people out there who actually care about you, spend more time with them!

To find those one sided friends, ask them how they are and see if 1, they ask you the same, and 2, if they actually listen to your answer.

Good luck xo

My Week

My Week

What have I done this week? Well for a start, my life has been completely revolved around work - again! I mean I don't mind working all the time but I wish it was for a job I actually wanted. I've also been ill so I have been trying to sleep as much as possible which has lead to me not doing a lot of fun stuff.

I went and saw Me Before you, which is an incredible film and I highly recommend you go and see it. I loved it that much that I actually bought the books so I can continue the love story.

I have started watching Skins again to try and relive my youth. Some of the stories on there, no, most of the stories are so far fetched and unrealistic.

The biggest thing I have done this week is think about my career. I have decided I want to either to a degree in music management or go into PR. I am really unsure as to what to do, I know I could do whatever if I got a load of work experience. It's really stressing me out because I want things to progress and I want to work hard but I need to have a plan on how I can do it.

Finally my week ended with a spot of shopping - again. I am starting to get pretty obsessed with shopping now, I used to hate it. Honestly, I used to order everything only because I hated going to shops so much.

Thinking about it, I'm not really sure why I even wrote this post because it's boring as f*ck...
Ps. This is my view from work. Very lucky!

My experience at the Isle of Wight Festival 2016

My experience at the Isle of Wight Festival 2016

Most of you probably aren't aware but from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th June I went to a festival near to where I live. I was fortunate enough to be my best friends plus one as she was reviewing the weekend for a magazine. This meant we got VIP, which was pretty cool. Not only that she managed to get us Jack Daniels wristbands, allowing us to get backstage at the Jack Rocks tent. Yep we definitely had a good weekend.

Who did I see?

BUSTED!! They were definitely my favourite! I definitely relived my childhood seeing these. They were even better than I had thought. Highly recommend seeing these.
I also saw big acts like Faithless, Queen and The Who. However I spent the majority of my time in the Jack Rocks tent and may I say there were some fab acts, Yak gave a completely eye opening performance, I've never seen someone pass their guitar out to the crowd or try to hump the stage scaffolding with their guitar - yes this actually happened! Some of my favourites from Jack Rocks were probably Paves, The Amazons, Mantras and annoyingly Judas (lets not talk about them).

What was my highlight?
The highlight for me was definitely spending the weekend with my best friend Shannon, she's just so cool and is doing ridiculously well for herself. I spent the whole weekend telling her how proud I was of her, which definitely got annoying.

Any stupid things happen?
Yep, a lot. I'm not going to go into some of it on this post, we're keeping this clean, but yes I am probably a whore. I just hate how people get the wrong impression, mainly the opposite sex but still.

What have I taken away from it?
Well I have learnt a lot from my weekend actually! The first being that I am a fantastic cupid, well if you're looking for a one night thing anyway. Another thing I have taken away from it is that I shouldn't trust boys in bands. They are smelly, weird and probably on drugs - even if they are pretty attractive and their music is good.
I have made loads of friends! That's an amazing thing. It has also brought me closer to an old school friend which is great.
The last thing I have taken away is that I need to live more. I got stuck in this whole 'eat, sleep, work, repeat' routine and I forgot that there is actually a world out there full of amazing people that I need to meet. Look out London, I'm coming for you..

Life lately | 23.03.2016

Well it looks like it's that time of the month again - not THAT time of the month but the time where I update you on my life. I think I've had quite a lot of stuff going on since the last but I won't bore you with the all details.

Things I want to have achieved before I'm 21

Things I want to have achieved before I'm 21

I will be celebrating my 21st on the 10th May 2016. Yep, not long at all. There are a few things I want to have achieved by then and I thought it would be a good idea to share them with my blog.

1. Get a new car. I'm looking into this now, hopefully soon I will have this! Obviously I need to sell my current car too!

2. Get a tattoo. Again I'm currently looking into this. I really hope I get this done and it doesn't hurt too much! I don't want to give too much details away because I don't want anyone to know until I've got it.

3. Go and visit my friend Shannon. This is probably more of an anxiety thing because at the moment the thought of staying somewhere for a couple days is a little overwhelming but I am so determined to overcome it! Plus I really miss her so that would be great.

4. Blog regularly again. I don't mean as regularly as I used too because I just don't get time anymore but maybe once every few weeks just for my own sake?

5. Sleep less in the day! I'm not sure why I want to do this before I'm 21 but I waste so much time sleeping when I could be out living life!

6. HAVE MORE FUN! I seem to forget that I'm only 20 and I'm allowed to fuck up. I need to go to more parties and make more friends and just live a little.

I think that's all I want to have achieved before I'm 21, I know I've not got long to change these but I can do it! 2 months and my life will be different!

Update.

Update.

I've been trying to blog for weeks now. Sadly, no matter how many blogs I read or how much I ask my Twitter followers for motivation, I find myself unable to post something new. At the beginning of the year I started a new job, made new friends and selfishly stopped thinking about my blog. I kept telling myself "don't just quit your blog", "think of all the people who read your blog now", "remember how hard I worked last year to make your blog interesting". I just didn't care, I had nothing interesting to put on my blog.

I'm currently struggling with blog post ideas because if I'm honest, I'm bored of reading blogs. It's starting to get very repetitive. I don't tend to read beauty posts or fashion posts. Monthly favourites, wish lists and empties are getting boring and old fashioned! If I'm not enjoying reading posts like that then why would I want to write them? So if I'm not going to write posts like that, what am I going to write?

So I'm taking a bit of time to have a think about what I want to say on this blog. I know you all like the anxiety posts but I don't want to become 'the anxiety blog' because that's not me and I don't want it to define me.

I'm not sure when I'll be back, it'll probably be soon but I just want to plan a few posts and get myself back on track before I start blogging again.

Meanwhile, don't forget to enter my small giveaway which closes on the 29th February.

Thanks for all your support.

My Life Recently | 09.01.2016

It's been over a month since I last did a 'My Life Recently' post so that's why we're here! Happy New Year and all that. I had a pretty quiet Christmas time so I don't have many pictures.

Elegant Touch False Nails Review

Elegant Touch False Nails Review

Now lets just start by saying yes I know I was last to get on the bandwagon but shh. FYI I'm not a trendy person.

Without further ado, let me show you, the Elegant Touch false nails. For those who don't have long nails or go to salons and get them done. Honestly I can't stress how good they are.
So I think they are about £6 - £8, PERFECT for a night out or a glam day. I bought my first set for a party, I didn't expect them to look nice or anything. Lets just say now I wear them nearly all the time! Obviously not all the time because the glue would ruin your nails.

It's safe to say I wear them until they are no longer wearable. I wore a set for about 2 weeks in total until they were bending and looked horrible. They lasted around a week before I had to re-glue - I must add this was with a full nail of glue so they were pretty well stuck on. Obviously it completely depends on your lifestyle and how heavy handed you are. I did house chores, cleaned out my guinea pigs and everyday life. I was a little cautious when doing some things but nothing major, you can usually feel when you're putting pressure on them. That's usually when they snap off, which my little sister couldn't understand!

Goals for 2016

Goals for 2016

Happy New Year!!! Where did 2015 go? I am so determined to get the most out of 2016. It will be the year we all succeed! As I've said before I don't really believe in New Years resolutions so I've put together a list of goals I would like to achieve by the end of the year. I'm already working on them but why not make them goals!?

1. Blog regularly
I am fairly satisfied with how much I've blogged this year. It was definitely better than 2014! It helps that I've also met some amazing bloggers this year. Hopefully I'll have around 150 posts during 2016!

2015 - Best Bits

2015 - Best Bits

What a year 2015 has been. Sadly 2015 hasn't been the best year, maybe I'll put that in another post. Here's some of the best memories I have.

I was reunited with my childhood best friend (middle) and I met the lovely Tia (right) who I fancy massively.

My birthday was cool. It definitely taught me a lot! And I am no longer a teenager.

I spent many hours in hair salons getting my hair dyed blonde.

My first YouTube video! Eeeekkk

My first YouTube video! Eeeekkk

Today I uploaded my first YouTube video. I didn't want to put it on my blog straight away because I just wanted to see how it goes. Also I'm not entirely happy with it but it's a first video so I'm allowed right?

Anyway check it out and let me know what you think!

Get To Know Me Tag

Get To Know Me Tag

Who doesn't love a good tag! I was very kindly nominated by Hannah (hannahhawes.blogspot.co.uk) to do this tag, I definitely think you should take the time to go and check out her blog. I'm sure both me and her would appreciate it.
On with the tag!

1. Is your hair naturally straight or curly?
Thankfully my hair has a natural wave so I'm quite lucky that I don't have to do anything to it for it to look ok. Although brushing it makes it super frizzy so I avoid that.

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
Well I went to a salon and look how it turned out!!
Yep, I ended up with bright orange hair and the worse ombre ever! Definitely not £150 worth! I have since done it at home and made it look 100% better! And for a fraction of the price.

My Life Recently | 07.12.15

My Life Recently | 07.12.15

So we're back with my week in pictures style post but I've given it a little tweak.

1. Loving Tan. So I have seen loads of people talking about it so I just had to try it out! Blog post to follow.

2. PIZZA! This was amazing. I eat pizza about 2 times a week, yep I'll turn into one soon.

My First Kiss...

My First Kiss...

I cringe a lot at my first kiss and my second and third and forth... You get the idea. I think the main reason I cringe so bad is because of the guys I chose. Here's a quick tip for those yet to experience their first kiss, don't do it with the first guy that wants you or in front of all your friends!

A lot of people don't believe how unlucky I am with men. Seriously, 100% of the guys I have seen in my short 20 years on earth have been idiots. But I would like to add I am not a slut, I wish I could attract enough guys!

10 things I want to start doing

10 things I want to start doing

For me the best way to achieve my goals is to post them online because then I hate having to say that I didn't do them. So here's a list of things I want to achieve at some point, maybe then I'll be the perfect woman and I'll be able to find a man. Haha, let's not get too carried away!

  1. Drinking 2 litres of water per day - I know this may be a little hard to start with so perhaps start with a litre.
  2. Exercise even a little bit - This is something I have become REALLY bad with, like I walk to and from my car and that's it.
  3. Try not to have a takeaway a least 3 times a week!
  4. Eating 3 meals a day - I always, forget to eat lunch or if I do it's usually about 4pm then I don't end up eating dinner. Yeah I'm pretty rubbish.
  5. Be more positive
  6. Read more books
  7. Spend less time doing nothing - by doing nothing I mean scrolling though Facebook/Twitter/Instagram
  8. I want to be the sort of person I would want to hang around with - at the moment I have become really slack with everything and I am probably a rubbish friend. Yeah I want to work on that.
  9. Save money - this will always be on my list I think! No matter what I do I just CANNOT do this!! Tips are very welcome!
  10. Blog regularly and stick at it! I'm so rubbish at sticking to blogging. I really want this place to work, besides I quite like it here.
What would you like to start doing? What's stopping you from starting now?

I adopted...

I adopted...

So if you haven't see my meet my new pets post you definitely should here. Now that you have you will know a few months ago I bought some guinea pigs. Since then they have been amazing and I love them. My parents always laugh at me because I'm always buying them stupid toys or blankets and basically treating them like humans.

Anyway one day I went to Pets at Home (which is a pet store, if you couldn't tell from the name). I was there looking for new cages for the guinea pigs because they have grown incredibly! So annoyingly they have the pets up for adoption right next to the cage. That's when we noticed the most adorable and fluffy rabbit! I didn't get her straight away, I went away to another store to get a cage then had to come back to get her.

She was up for adoption because she didn't get on with other rabbits, which was perfect for me because then I wouldn't feel guilty for her being left on her own. They believe she is only around 7 months old but they cannot be completely sure. Anyway, her name? It was Paula, now I don't really think that's a very good name for a rabbit. I changed it ever so slightly to Polly, I know it's supposed to be bad luck to change a name but I'm going to take that risk.

Anyway, I'm sure you all want to see her. But I would like to apologise because she is definitely camera shy!
